An award-winning finance broker, inspiring mentor, and energetic philanthropist determined to create lasting change, Nancy Youssef is the founder of Classic Finance and Classic Mentoring and Coaching.
Recognised as a leader and innovator within the industry, she is an ambassador for change both within finance here in Australia, and in some of the world’s most impoverished communities.
In 2003, Nancy established Classic Finance, a fast-growing boutique finance firm based in Sydney that is renowned for client service, innovation and loyalty. Nancy is passionate about championing ethical practice and under her leadership Classic Finance provides exceptional personal service and tailored, strategic advice to individuals, small business owners and entrepreneurs.
In 2011, she founded Classic Mentoring and Coaching with the goal of disrupting current models of mentoring and nurturing the next generation of brokers. Nancy has mentored more than 150 brokers who have since gone on to create outstanding brokerages in their own right.
Nancy is also a founding partner of The Human Kind Project, which invests in microfinance initiatives, through it's charity partner The Hunger Project, that help impoverished communities reach self-reliance. In 2017 she travelled to Malawi to see first-hand the impact on the local community and the generational change that was taking place, and she continues to work tirelessly to support this worthy cause. Having raised more than $140,000 since 2015, she is on track towards her goal of fundraising $200,000.
Nancy’s exemplary leadership has seen Classic Finance receive several industry awards, including the MFAA Excellence Awards for Best Social & Community Champion in 2016 and 2017, as well as The Adviser magazine 2017 Better Business Award for Best Social Responsibility program. Most recently, Nancy was awarded The Adviser magazine 2019 Better Business Award for Mentor of the Year.
On a personal level, Nancy is enormously proud to be a successful female entrepreneur in the male-dominated finance industry. In 2015 she was one of 20 Australian entrepreneurs given the opportunity to attend a leadership retreat held at Sir Richard Branson’s Necker Island – an experience that further strengthened her personal belief that every individual has the ability to realise their potential, personally and professionally, if they are determined to succeed.
Nancy loves to travel, read, walk and spend time with family, and always has a hundred new ideas in the pipeline, just waiting for her to bring them to life!
As an entrepreneur and a business leader, there is one thing I have learnt to be true: if you want to be successful, conquering your fears is part of the deal.
